Also can someone tell me how not to dupilicate posts?
thebigfella 07 Jan 2009 16:22
Alls i want is the lads to be able to play pool. I thought you may be a helper not a hinderance.
thebigfella 07 Jan 2009 16:21
I was merely asking your help, not throwing around accusations, as my post on the Bury site as well as this will testify. If you are having a hard time, dont use me as your verbal punchbag...wrong target.
thebigfella 07 Jan 2009 16:18
I thought an answer that might go " i'll have a word for you" or "get back to me in a day or two". Your answer was sarcastic when i asked for genuine help. Its there for all to see. I dont want to get in a slanging match either but are you saying you want to see me personally so you can insult me? Am i reading that right?
spongebob 07 Jan 2009 15:35
Oh and Colin, I do work, but not in CR.
spongebob 07 Jan 2009 15:33
Well I'm not going to get in to some sort of slanging match but as I have said these comments are being directed at me and I'm not the right person to direct them to, as I have said. Now as for the personal insults, if you want to come and see me then thats fine. My replies were civil, to the point, but civil.
thebigfella 07 Jan 2009 15:23
Dont get defensive Arny. I put it down to lack of communication (please read my posts). I put a request to a committee member, with a please at the end and get a short snappy answer. Mmm, do you work in customer relations if so i hope you dont get commission only. I ASKED WITH CIVILITY THATS HOW I EXPECT MY REPLIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thebigfella 07 Jan 2009 15:16
Whats done is done and lets just put what has happened to a lack of communication. The communication is here now though so can we request the future rounds to be back on a Monday please?
spongebob 07 Jan 2009 14:38
For the record, I've never heard any committee member at any meeting or general conversation, mention the singles league or have any opinion on it. My thoughts are that one of you should turn up at the next meeting and express your thoughts on the subject and get a direct answer, or alternatively, pick up the phone, their no.s are on the sheet.

Welcome to the home of the Radcliffe & District Pool League

** Please Note: The Stonemasons have dropped out of the league.

Week 11 (half way point)

Swinton Leisure are number one this Christmas while Staff 'B' lost ground losing 4-3 to Cross Keys 'B' and improvers Fairfield continue to climb the table beating the high flyers Hamers. Wellington go back to the top of Division 1 although second place Roach have a result to come. Derby Arms, Welcome and Victoria 'A' battle it out for third. In Division 2 there's a shock with ever present Swan & Railway 'B' being knocked off the top by Bridge Inn 'A' with 7-0 victors New Bay 'A' moving up into 3rd. In Division 3 Game Cock continue to dominate the table from Spotted Cow 'A' and Faifield HSC. In Division 4 there's a shake up of positions with Spotted Cow 'A' leading from Staff 'A', both teams have players who have yet to drop a game, 11 out of 11, for S.Mahon and M.Maffia. Early leaders in the division New Inn and Railway lead Lord Raglan and Unicorn but its all very tight with 6 points separating the top 6 teams.

Results Still Outstanding

Team KO Draw Code

The Team Knockout Draw is done electronically using a program. Every Team has an individual ID and a flag to say if your in the KO or not. At the start everyone is in. The program then works out if we have the correct number of entries for a KO such as 128, 64, 32 etc. and if not it will draw a preliminary round to get us to that magic number (128, 64, 32....). We press the button and the draw is done. We do this in public so that anyone can see what the draw is and we then decide where the match is going to be played. I've made the code available for anyone to download as a pdf Team KO Code
